easyJet agrees in principle to GBP5.23bn (USD6.9bn) takeover by Castlelake at GBP6.90 per share

easyJet has reached an agreement in principle with US private investor Castlelake to acquire the low-cost airline for GBP6.90 per share, valuing the transaction at GBP5.23bn (USD6.9bn). The deal follows easyJet’s rejection of four prior proposals.
