Qantas brings forward A380 retirements to 2028 as Middle East conflict weighs on FY2026 results

Qantas will begin retiring its fleet of 10 Airbus A380s in 2028, four years earlier than previously planned, as the carrier outlines fleet and cabin changes alongside FY2026 results. The airline reported a AUD 1.29 billion statutory profit after tax, while the Middle East conflict added AUD 420 million in costs.
