FAA moves to fire two LaGuardia controllers who left early before fatal Air Canada collision

The FAA is taking steps to fire two LaGuardia air traffic controllers accused of leaving their posts early before an Air Canada Express CRJ-900 collided with an airport fire truck on March 22, killing both pilots. The agency is also investigating a broader pattern of unrecorded early departures known as “early shoves.”
