A near-mid-air collision at Houston Intercontinental Airport (IAH) was narrowly avoided when a departing aircraft turned right instead of the cleared left after takeoff, putting two jets on a collision course; air traffic and flight crews intervened and no collision occurred, authorities say.

EVA Air board approves 787-9 purchase plus 777-300ER leases and upgrades
