Rolls-Royce and BAE Systems raise outlooks on stronger H1 performance as defense spending and aerospace aftermarket demand lift

Rolls-Royce reported a 46% jump in first-half operating profit and raised its full-year outlook above market expectations, citing better civil aftermarket performance and increased defense demand. In parallel, BAE Systems lifted sales, profitability and cash flow targets after a strong first half amid continued government defense spending. Rolls-Royce also said it is “effectively eliminated” aircraft-on-ground across the Trent 1000/7000 fleets in the first half via durability improvements and new blade rollouts.
