India leases two MQ-9B SeaGuardian drones from General Atomics for Navy surveillance

India’s Ministry of Defence has signed a ₹1,943 crore contract with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems to lease two MQ-9B SeaGuardian high-altitude, long-endurance remotely piloted aircraft for 30 months. The systems will support Indian Navy intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions, particularly maritime monitoring.
