Boeing exits U.S. Navy Undergraduate Jet Training System competition, citing T-7A Red Hawk mismatch

Boeing will not bid on the U.S. Navy’s next-generation undergraduate jet trainer, withdrawing from the Undergraduate Jet Training System (UJTS) effort. The company says the T-7A Red Hawk it produces for the U.S. Air Force does not meet Navy requirements, adding uncertainty to the Navy’s trainer replacement timeline.
