White House proposes cutting 9,400+ TSA screening jobs and $1.5B from agency budget

The White House has proposed cutting more than 9,400 Transportation Security Administration airport-screening positions and trimming just over $1.5 billion from the agency's budget, according to federal budget documents. The reductions would affect an agency that manages roughly 60,000 screening employees and airport security operations.
