U.S. carriers press DOT to force lift of Dublin Airport’s 32mppa cap, threaten restrictions on Irish access

American carriers have asked the U.S. Department of Transportation to intervene in a dispute over Dublin Airport’s 32 million passengers-per-year cap, warning the limit jeopardises historic transatlantic slots. An industry group told DOT to consider curtailing Irish carriers’ U.S. access unless the cap is lifted or suspended by Feb. 1.
