DLR study: Europe can match Starship — but only with a fundamentally different launcher approach

The German Aerospace Centre (DLR) used Starship flight data to assess whether Europe can respond to SpaceX’s most powerful rocket. Its study concludes Europe could achieve comparable capability, but only by adopting fundamentally different architectures, industrial models and a willingness to rethink conventional launcher programmes.
