European satellite makers target production scale-up amid launch bottlenecks

Scotland’s satellite manufacturing ambitions depend on repeatable designs, dependable suppliers, adequate testing capacity, trained workers and committed customers. Poland’s Creotech Instruments plans to expand production capacity by as much as tenfold by 2029, while its CEO says Europe will remain reliant on U.S. rockets to launch satellites for years.
