NASA returns modified Boeing 777-200ER to Langley, targeting first science flight in January

NASA’s newly modified Boeing 777-200ER has returned to the agency’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, after extensive structural modifications and hardware upgrades to convert the former passenger airliner into a next-generation flying science laboratory. The aircraft is slated to conduct its first NASA science mission in January.
