airBaltic files for U.S. Chapter 11 with €350 million financing commitment

Latvia’s national airline airBaltic has voluntarily filed for Chapter 11 protection in New York to restructure its debt and implement a new business strategy. The carrier secured a €350 million debtor-in-possession financing commitment and says flights will continue operating normally during the proceedings.
