NASA retools Artemis: cancels Boeing SLS upgrade, adds LEO lunar‑lander docking test
NASA has restructured the Artemis lunar architecture, canceling a multibillion‑dollar Boeing upgrade to the Space Launch System and inserting an additional low‑Earth‑orbit docking test of lunar landers. Announced by administrator Jared Isaacman, the changes are intended to shorten flight gaps, reduce program risk and curb escalating costs after repeated delays.
