ESA launches €100m initiative to accelerate satellite–mobile convergence

On March 2 the European Space Agency announced up to €100 million (about $118m) to fund projects that accelerate convergence between satellite and terrestrial mobile communications. The programme will support technology demonstrations and early deployments to speed multi‑orbit, low‑latency integration with mobile networks.
