China consolidates Chang’e robotics with human lunar plans for a 2030 astronaut landing; NASA selects crewed lunar rover partner
China says it is integrating its robotic Chang’e lunar work into its human spaceflight program to land astronauts on the Moon by 2030. Separately, NASA selected Venturi Astrolab and Lunar Outpost to provide crewed lunar terrain vehicles for Artemis, while student teams advanced rover prototypes through NASA’s 2026 Lunabotics Challenge.
