Canada opens negotiations to buy Saab GlobalEye airborne early warning aircraft for RCAF surveillance missions

Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canada will begin detailed talks and formal negotiations with Saab as the preferred supplier for an airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) capability, centered on the GlobalEye platform. The RCAF needs the jets to monitor emerging threats, including hypersonic missiles.
