Space Force cancels RTX’s Next-Generation GPS OCX ground-control program after years of delays and cost overruns
The U.S. Space Force has canceled RTX Corp.’s multibillion-dollar Next Generation Operational Control System (OCX) ground-control contract for the next generation of GPS satellites. The move follows extensive delays and cost overruns and replaces the program’s planned ground segment approach, with Lockheed later awarded a $105M contract tied to AEP.
