American Airlines debuts Airbus A321XLR on transcontinental JFK–LAX service

American Airlines on Dec. 18 debuted its first Airbus A321XLR, operating a transcontinental service from New York–JFK to Los Angeles that departed at 11:00. The launch makes American the first U.S.-based carrier to put the ultra-long-range A321XLR into commercial passenger service.
