UK airports press expansion: Heathrow seeks third runway as Birmingham proposes £2bn plan

Heathrow says more than 40 airlines are seeking slots as it renews calls for a third runway, an expansion estimated to cost £33 billion, including £1.5 billion to divert the M25. Birmingham Airport’s draft £2 billion master plan could lift annual passenger numbers to about 30 million over 15 years.

Airbus tests Valkyrie drone in Europe, plans 2029 combat readiness
