Rolls-Royce touts Trent durability gains as it lifts guidance; BAE boosts outlook and flags timing for GCAP partner expansion
Rolls-Royce said it has “effectively eliminated” aircraft-on-ground on its Trent 1000 and Trent 7000 fleets in the first half while continuing to roll out engine improvements, and it raised full-year outlook after a 46% jump in first-half operating profit. Separately, BAE Systems lifted annual sales, profitability and cash flow targets, while its CEO cautioned against slowing the Global Combat Air Programme as new partners are added.
