Saab signs FMV contract for 16 Gripen E fighters for Ukraine, valuing the deal at ~SEK 24.6 billion (~$2.54B)

Sweden’s Saab has signed a contract with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration to supply 16 Gripen E multirole fighters to Ukraine in a deal valued at about SEK 24.6 billion ($2.54 billion). The agreement formalizes Ukraine’s start in the Gripen programme, with donated Gripen C/D deliveries starting in early 2027 and Gripen E deliveries reported for 2029-2030 with British support.
