South Korea approves follow-on purchase of 20 MH-60R Seahawk helicopters by 2032

South Korea has approved the additional purchase of approximately 20 Sikorsky MH-60R Seahawk helicopters, with deliveries planned by 2032. The naval warfare helicopters will replace aging Leonardo Lynx Mk.99/99A assets and strengthen the South Korean Navy’s anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare capabilities.
