FAA halts flights at Reagan, Dulles and BWI after chemical odor reported at Potomac TRACON
The FAA briefly halted flights Friday evening across Reagan National (DCA), Dulles (IAD), Baltimore–Washington (BWI) and other DC‑area airports after a strong chemical smell was reported inside the Potomac TRACON regional traffic‑control facility. Ground stops were later lifted, including at BWI, while authorities investigate.
