HKIA Terminal 2 opens May 27, 2026 with phased check-in relocations (incl. AirAsia) as airport posts April growth

Hong Kong International Airport will commence Terminal 2 departure-facility operations on 27 May 2026, with 15 airlines relocating check-in in phases. AirAsia will move international check-in services from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 effective 28 May. The airport also reported April passenger and cargo growth, with cargo up 4.9% year on year to 423,000 tonnes.
