FAA-licensed commercial launches fall in FY2026 as agency proposes streamlined rules

FAA data show commercial space launch activity declined in fiscal year 2026 for the first time since FY2019. The agency is also proposing to streamline regulations for commercial launches and re-entries, as launch bottlenecks prompt satellite operators to consider higher-density designs.

JetBlue's LaGuardia Growth Approved by FAA
