NTSB: Bering Air Caravan Was Nearly 1,000 Pounds Overweight Before Fatal Icing Stall

The NTSB’s final report on Bering Air Flight 445 found that the commuter Caravan was operating nearly 1,000 pounds above its icing-condition weight limit before entering an aerodynamic stall. The crash killed all 10 people aboard and followed a reported history of overweight flights and inadequate oversight.
