easyJet board rejects Castlelake’s $6.3 billion takeover bid, after three unsolicited approaches

easyJet’s board unanimously rejected Castlelake’s latest £4.74 billion (US$6.3 billion) takeover proposal, after turning down three earlier approaches. Castlelake says the offer values easyJet at about £4.74 billion and is now “direct to shareholders,” while easyJet calls it opportunistic and “on the cheap.”
