Air Serbia A319: thrust-reverser lining separation linked to hot air from open bleed valve

An Air Serbia Airbus A319 aircraft en route to Budapest shed a large section from the thrust reverser during climb out of Belgrade. Serbian investigators concluded hot air from an open bleed valve delaminated the internal reverser lining, leading to its separation.

FAA takes action in response to GEnx fuel pump issue and fire risk

By FlightGlobal: Fuel leaks caused by improperly torqued screws inside inlet housing pose safety risk, says the FAA. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to require airlines to replace fuel pumps in GE Aerospace GEnx turbofans to address an engine-fire risk.
