ATR 42-500 maritime surveillance aircraft (PK‑THT) presumed crashed in Indonesia; ATR deploys specialists

An ATR 42‑500 maritime surveillance aircraft (registration PK‑THT) operated for Indonesia’s Directorate General of Marine and Fisheries Resources Surveillance lost contact on 17 January near Maros/Bantimurung National Park with 11 people aboard and is presumed crashed. ATR has deployed specialists to support the Indonesian-led investigation as search-and-rescue continues.
