DGCA mandates 60% of domestic seats be offered without seat-selection charges

India's DGCA has ordered airlines to allocate at least 60% of seats on every domestic flight without seat-selection or other ancillary charges. The rule also requires carriers to prioritise passenger facilitation, enable family seating by placing passengers on the same PNR together, and overhaul pricing models to comply.
