Flydubai co-pilot’s alleged axe attack exposes limits of screening for rogue pilots

Airline executives say safety standards remain high after a flydubai co-pilot allegedly attacked the captain with an axe last week in an attempt to crash the aircraft. They acknowledged, however, that safeguards cannot fully prevent a rogue pilot from acting against the crew or aircraft.
