Paraglider–Cessna 172 mid-air collision near Zell am See, Austria, ends without injuries

A paragliding pilot survived a mid-air collision after a Cessna 172 flew through her glider canopy near Zell am See on May 23, 2026. The impact shredded the canopy and sent her into a loss-of-control spiral thousands of feet above the Alps, but both pilots managed safe landings.
