IAG Q1 jump lifts profits but trims 2026 outlook; capacity growth slowed to ~1%

International Airlines Group (IAG) reported a 71% surge in first-quarter 2026 profits to €301m (operating profit up 77.3% to €351m) on €7.18bn revenue (+1.9%). The group is also cutting full-year expectations for 2026, citing higher fuel costs, and slowing capacity growth to around 1%.
