UAE says Flydubai co-pilot planned to crash flight into Ben Gurion Airport

The UAE says Omani national Hamam al-Hammami, a Flydubai co-pilot, intended to hijack a flight bound for Tel Aviv and crash it into Ben Gurion Airport to cause mass casualties. Prosecutors said he was inspired by the Sept. 11 attacks and had flown the route twice beforehand to familiarize himself with the airport.
