Ghana to formalise new national carrier within 12 months as Air Ghana launches cargo ops after AOC

Ghana’s government plans to formalise operations for a proposed national airline within the next 12 months and aims to launch services by Q1 2027, Transport Minister Joseph Bukari Nikpe said. Separately, Air Ghana received an AOC in April and has begun West African cargo operations.
