United Engine completes certification tests for Aviadvigatel PD-8 powerplant supporting import-substituted SJ-100

United Engine says it has finished certification testing for the Aviadvigatel PD-8 engine, a key step for Russia’s import-substituted SJ-100 twinjet. The program has accumulated nearly 6,600 operating hours on the powerplant, moving the jet’s domestic propulsion pathway toward regulatory clearance.

Kuwait airport closure pushes Jazeera into first-quarter loss
