Avelo ends ICE deportation flights, cites public backlash, revenue shortfalls and operational costs

Avelo Airlines has terminated its contract to operate Immigration and Customs Enforcement deportation flights, saying public backlash and ties to the Trump administration prompted the move. The carrier said operational complexity, costs and inconsistent revenue made the flights unsustainable and will close affected hubs.
