Ryanair tells PM De Wever to scrap Belgian air tax, warns of capacity cuts and higher fares

Ryanair has urged Belgian prime minister Bart De Wever to immediately repeal the country’s air tax, saying the levy — increased by about 150% last July — is depressing traffic, tourism and jobs and warning it will cut Belgian capacity and raise fares if the charge remains.
