Avinor begins world‑first multi‑airport remote‑tower trial from Bodø linking 14 airports

Avinor has started a trial of multiple operations at its remote‑tower centre in Bodø, using digital links to 14 airports so a single controller can manage more than one aerodrome. The pilot project covers four paired airports (Rørvik–Namsos; Mehamn–Hasvik; Vardø–Berlevåg; Røst–Svolvær) and follows an agreement to deploy seven remote towers.
