The NTSB concluded that inadequate airspeed management during severe icing, combined with the Textron Aviation 208B’s operation above maximum gross weight, caused Bering Air Flight 445 to lose control and impact pack ice near Nome, Alaska, on Feb. 6, 2025. All 10 people aboard were killed.
