International Space Summit details IRIS² LEO architecture and names Thomas Pesquet commander of Vast’s ISS mission

The inaugural International Space Summit in Paris produced 51 announcements, including the first detailed look at the IRIS² low-Earth-orbit architecture. Former ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet was also named commander of Vast’s PAM-6 commercial mission to the International Space Station.

NASA astronaut Jessica Meir and French astronaut Sophie Adenot are scheduled to conduct the sixth all-female spacewalk outside the International Space Station on Sept. 1. Adenot and Menon complete second spacewalk to restore ISS space-to-ground communications

NASA astronaut Anil Menon and ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot completed a follow-up spacewalk on Aug. 25, successfully installing a replacement Space-to-Ground Antenna that had failed aboard the International Space Station. The operation followed their earlier removal of the faulty unit and was intended to restore communications capability.
