EASA issues emergency airworthiness directive for 16 Airbus A380s after wing structural cracks found

EASA has issued an emergency airworthiness directive ordering inspections on 16 Airbus A380 aircraft following discovery of cracks in structural components inside the wing. The checks are needed before the affected aircraft can continue operating in the post-ED environment; most aircraft identified are operated by Emirates, with five requiring checks.

Korean Air, Delta expand Seamless Baggage Transfer to Seattle and Los Angeles

By AeroTime: Korean Air announced that it has expanded its Seamless Baggage Transfer service with Delta Air Lines to two more US gateways, allowing passengers connecting through Incheon International Airport (ICN) to skip the baggage recheck process and save up to 20 minutes.

AirAsia ramps up fleet renewal with older A320s phased out

By FlightGlobal: The airline group also confirms it has cancelled its order for 15 Airbus A330-900s. AirAsia Group expects to remove up to 12 of its oldest Airbus A320s from its fleet this year, as part of wider fleet renewal efforts that will also see more A321LRs being delivered in 2027.
