Wizz Air CEO: Abu Dhabi venture was a mistake; focus shifts to cash preservation without near-term capacity cuts

Speaking at CAPA’s Airline Leader Summit, Wizz Air CEO József Váradi said the failed Abu Dhabi growth push was “a mistake” but that the airline is prepared to keep pursuing expansion. He added Wizz Air is preserving cash, does not see a “disaster” ahead, plans no near-term capacity reduction, and says it is well hedged for fuel while working to recover supply-chain pressures.
