Port Authority–Skyports yearlong cargo drone trial to move light freight across the East River

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and Skyports Drone Services will launch a 12-month trial using small uncrewed aircraft to carry light cargo between Lower Manhattan and the Brooklyn Marine Terminal. Trials begin April 27, 2026, targeting faster, more reliable urban logistics and medical delivery flows.
