France and Spain Fast-Track A400M Deliveries as Airbus Eyes Combat Upgrades
France and Spain have agreed with OCCAR and Airbus to advance delivery of seven slow-selling A400M military transports to sustain the production line. At the same time, the French Air & Space Force is exploring multirole strike, electronic warfare and ISR upgrades as Airbus seeks to cut operating costs and broaden mission capabilities for its decade-old fleet.
