Thales and French regional carrier Amelia have deployed a contrail‑avoidance system across all suitable flights after a 12‑month trial. The system alters flight profiles—primarily altitude—without changing routes; operator analyses attribute more than 2,000 tonnes CO2‑equivalent avoided and roughly 70% lower climate impact per adjusted flight.
