JWST Spots Planet Formation in Space's Most Extreme Environments
NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has detected planets forming in environments once thought too extreme for planet assembly. These observations expand known planetary nurseries beyond traditional protoplanetary disks, widening the search for habitable worlds and prompting revisions to models of exoplanet formation.
