NASA begins 49‑hour countdown for Artemis II wet dress rehearsal ahead of crewed lunar flyby
On Jan. 31, 2026, NASA began a 49‑hour countdown at Kennedy Space Center for the Artemis II wet dress rehearsal — a full propellant‑loading and systems test of SLS and Orion. The exercise is the last major integrated check before the four‑astronaut crewed lunar flyby, the first since 1972.
