NASA names 10 new astronaut candidates as agency presses to return humans to the Moon before China
NASA on Sept. 22 unveiled 10 new astronaut candidates — four men and six women — selected from more than 8,000 applicants. They report in January for two years of basic spaceflight training and will be eligible for missions to low‑Earth orbit, Artemis lunar flights and future Mars expeditions.
