JPL to cut about 550 jobs in reorganization; director says layoffs not tied to shutdown
NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory will lay off about 550 employees — roughly 10% of its workforce — this week as part of a restructuring, the lab director said. It is the third round of cuts since February 2024 and, the director added, not related to the government shutdown.
