Air traffic control staffing shortfalls tied to the U.S. government shutdown have produced widespread disruption: the FAA reported more than 5,800 flight delays and carriers canceled roughly 300–320 flights across major hubs including Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta and Newark as the shutdown entered its 19th day.
